JESSICA VOIGT
Associate
Jessica Voigt graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelors degree in Environmental Design, and from Savannah College of Art and Design with a Masters in Architecture, where she was also awarded Excelsus Laureate (graduate valedictorian), and was part of Tau Sigma Delta, an honor society in Architecture and Allied Arts.
Before coming to work for Abramson Teiger Architects, she worked for two firms in Denver, Co and Cambridge, MA. While working in Denver she won first place for an architecture competition called “Fiets Kazamat” through the Young Architects Forum, which was published in the April 2006 article from the United States Green Building Council. She then decided to move to Japan to study the cultures modern aesthetics in both art and architecture. After her stint abroad, she moved back to the United States and was offered a job to work for famed architect Frank Gehry, with whom she helped design the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy Museum in Paris, France and the Guggenheim in Abu Dhabi. During this time, she also competed in the Acadia 2007 Design competition and won third place for her design on the “New Media School” in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
A firm believer that Architecture is the mother of all arts, Jessica strives on a daily basis to be as creative as possible in a variety of ways. Living an almost dual life as both an artist and a designer, she creates art under the moniker Essi Zimm, and her work can be found at Essizimm.com. Her artwork has not only won awards and recognition it has been featured in galleries throughout Los Angeles, New York, and England.
