MARCO MARACCINI
Project Manager
Marco Marraccini is a registered architect in the State of Pennsylvania and has practiced in Virginia, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania prior to joining Abramson Teiger Architects in 2010. His interest in design and fabrication was instigated by his lifelong exposure to the design and craft world through his father's work as a Jewelry designer and his mother's work as a photographer.
Marco received a Master's degree in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia in 1999. During his studies at MIT he was awarded the Francis Ward Prize: Achievement in Architectural Design in 2006, the Sidney B. Karofsky Prize: The Outstanding Master of Architecture Student in 2004, and the AIA Student Foundation Scholarship Award in 2004.
Prior to starting graduate school, Marco spent four years working at SMBW Architects located in Richmond, VA. At SMBW, he worked on a wide range of projects, most significantly a mausoleum located in Salem, VA that received numerous awards and was published in Architecture Magazine.
Marco spent the four years following the completion of his graduate degree working at Point B, a small design and fabrication group located in Philadelphia, PA. He managed the design and development of a private art gallery in Gladwyne, PA. Marco traveled twice to Shenzhen, China to oversee the fabrication and trial assembly of the glass and steel. Due to the complex nature of the project it was necessary for him to act as an on-site Project Representative for the entirety of the two and a half year construction project.
